Jessie-Marie Allendorf, MS, APCC (she/her/hers) is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #10827) who is compassionate, enthusiastic, non-judgemental, and humorous. Jessie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. Beginning her journey in the mental health field by volunteering at the national suicide hotline and a local crisis hotline, she went on to complete her Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Suffolk University in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. She completed an internship providing individual counseling, group counseling, and assessments for children with severe mental illness who were unable to thrive in public schools. Jessie has professional experience working in a community-based, acute residential treatment program providing counseling, crisis intervention, suicide/risk assessments, and behavioral health assessments to individuals with severe mental illness who were recently discharged from hospitals, or other high risk, acute care settings. Jessie is being clinically supervised by Soojin Poole, LMFT #97800.
