Alexandra (Ally) Blumen (she/her) is an Associate Clinical Social Worker, ASW133053 at PEP DBT who is committed to providing collaborative, compassionate care for children, teens, young adults, adults, and couples. She believes healing happens through genuine connection and strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to show up as they are. She honors each client’s autonomy, meeting them with authenticity, curiosity, and empathy while helping them build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

Grounded in a strengths-based approach, Ally utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support each client’s unique needs.

She pursued her Master of Social Work (MSW) from San Diego State University with an emphasis on child and family wellbeing.

Throughout her career, Ally has had the privilege of serving children, teens, adults, and families through crises, life transitions, and complex interpersonal and environmental challenges. She has also facilitated LGBTQ+ teen support groups, and juvenile justice impacted youth groups, deepening her commitment to providing affirming, trauma-informed care for individuals of all identities and backgrounds. These experiences continue to shape her compassionate, collaborative, and inclusive approach to therapy.

Ally believes every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. Her goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical skills that support them long after therapy has ended, while honoring each person’s unique strengths and lived experiences.

Ally practices under the clinical supervision of Soojin Poole, LMFT #97800, and participates in weekly DBT consultation with the PEP DBT consultation team.
