Christina Edwards, MA, AMFT is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #129887. Christina practices through a compassionate, non judgemental lens and really emphasizes the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her goal as a therapist is to work alongside clients as they learn to feel comfortable tackling life’s inherent challenges and to safely embody their authentic selves.

Christina received her Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2021 from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and received her Bachelors in Communication and Studio Art from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA. Her professional clinical experience includes working with individuals in both private practice and school-based settings across California.

Through working in these settings she has gained experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families/support systems through telehealth and in person sessions. The areas of emphasis were ADHD, autism spectrum, mood/anxiety disorders, major life transitions, and self esteem/identity. Christina has experience and training in various therapy approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Feminist Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and always practices through a social justice and trauma informed lens.

In addition, Christina is passionate about working with individuals who want to explore their unique creativity. Prior to entering the field of Psychology, she worked in the music industry and the food/beverage industry. She draws on these experiences to help people foster creativity in their personal lives, however that looks to them. Christina is being clinically supervised by Soojin Poole, LMFT #97800.
