Nikola Zaporowski, AMFT, APCC PEP DBT


Nikola Zaporowski (she/they) is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT162588) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC27722) at PEP DBT. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families, helping them navigate emotional challenges and build lives that feel meaningful. She believes clients are the true experts on their own lives, providing a secure, nonjudgmental space where genuine growth can happen.

Nikola relies primarily on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop practical tools for daily life.

Nikola earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. She brings nearly two decades of clinical and community leadership experience to her practice, with a strong focus on child and adolescent development and family systems.

Throughout her career, Nikola has supported children and youth through complex developmental shifts, academic pressure, and social challenges. She has a passion for working with trans, nonbinary, and queer youth—guiding young people and their families through identity exploration, social transitions, and system navigation with deep empathy and clinical care.

Nikola’s focus is on delivering actionable skills that create lasting resilience. She balances warmth with clear, practical guidance so clients feel equipped to manage difficult emotions and thrive long after therapy ends.

Nikola practices under the clinical supervision of Soojin Poole, LMFT #97800, and participates in weekly DBT consultation with the PEP DBT team.
