Marja Ganesh, MA, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and APCC, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Marja believes in utilizing a strength-based approach to working with clients. Marja believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is paramount to her clients healing and strives to provide them with a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space for their healing process.
Marja is very excited to be a part of the Personal Evolution Psychotherapy team. She obtained her Master’s Degree from National University in May 2020 as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Professional Clinical Counselor. Marja has years of experience working with children and teens from diverse backgrounds. During her internship experience, she worked with survivors of domestic violence (both men and women), those struggling with substance abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, PTSD, trauma, emotional regulation, adjustment, and interpersonal relationship skills. She ran groups for women at their women’s shelter and she also ran the women’s support group for domestic abuse. Prior to moving to San Diego, she worked closely with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder with the Department of Defense School in Naples, Italy.
